plurk-ish

I’m annoyed because I can’t figure out how to add html to my side bar even though it is supposed to be simple.

Get your daily 5 fruits

April 25, 2011 at 11:44 am (Shopping) (, )

In SL®, getting your daily five servings of fruit is easy with this fruit bowl. But seriously, I had been looking for a realistic bowl of fruit to decorate my hope and found this as one of the best.

Wait wait! Ok tell me.

February 20, 2011 at 3:27 pm (Broadcast Media) (, , , )

Went to the game show, the 1st Question that runs on Treet.TV.  Described as

The 1st Question is a fast-paced, fact-based (mostly) science-themed quiz show featuring illustrious panelists and the best audience in the universe.
Hosts Pooky Amsterdam and Hydra Shaftoe take you on a hilariously fun hour with questions, quotes, yays, nays and much more.

1stquestion
It was a great time. Kim Linden, the new-ish Vice President of Marketing (Linden Lab) was a guest on the show. She did quite well in scoring points. /me wonders if PR man Pete Linden didn’t help her out LOL.
lovegarden_008

It’s a quiz show where guests define a word and the audience gets to vote on who they think is right in one round. It is somewhat modeled after a show I’m very fond of, NPR’s “Wait wait don’t tell me“.

One distinct difference is that Treet’s program uses primarily science related questions and NPR – news related.

You can watch the whole episode on SecondNights or of course at Treet.tv.

Acoustic love

February 18, 2011 at 7:07 pm (Uncategorized)

warning: sappy content

“It hurts to want everything and nothing at the same time.”

Valentines Day has come and gone. It’s funny how things happen so quickly even when they have been building up over time. I must say I am thankful for friends whether or not they come with bells and whistles because above all they are my friend. So this is for the little part of me inside that wished for more.

[The best version of this song is actually 37 minutes into the Tabula Rasa episode of BtVS Season 6. This one from The Lake House is pretty close. Now that’s a movie that will rip your heart out. Geez!]

Sometimes the most beautiful things come without all the bells and whistles and I call that acoustic love.

Taking it Seriously

February 14, 2011 at 2:59 pm (Business in SL, Virtual Worlds General) ()

I recently saw a fascinating video on the study of culture in virtual worlds, specifically Second Life. I find it awesome that there is research and study in this new medium because personally, I think VR Platforms are the social marketing platforms of tomorrow. There is a lot of perfecting to do and business still needs to learn how to enter and make money. If you know of one, let me know I think I have some very solid ideas.

Enough tooting my own horn.
